Was in the mood for some Chinese food while in Windsor for some business. This place had the best reviews upon doing an online search so I made my way here not knowing what to expect. I ordered their pan fried chicken dumplings and beef with broccoli. Both were delicious and prepared well, yet also did not take overly long to come out either. The restaurant is quite quiet which is nice for those looking for a more relaxed dining atmosphere. It's also very clean but the washrooms could be cleaner. Service is quite friendly and I found the prices to be quite reasonable. I would return here again if life brings me back to Windsor again in the near future.

Food: We have tried different Chinese restaurant in Windsor. This hole in the wall place could be at the top. We find an authentic Chinese place in the heart of Downtown Windsor. We ordered Yeung Chow Fried Rice, Spicy Fried Tofu (ours is less spicy), Steamed Tilapia fish and Baby Bok Choy on Garlic. Four out of four, taste a real Chinese dishes. The food is served with quality on considerable amount of time. You know it was freshly cooked it was not just heated up. Good serving amount and reasonably menu price. Mind you we haven't tried the meat yet. That is to our next visit Service: Friendly server. Cindy welcome us with a smile and she made us feel welcome. She took time talking to us, recommended what is the most popular on the menu Cindy knows how to take care of their customers. Ambiance: Very casual. Good for groups. Street Metered Parking Overall: Highly Recommended for a Chinese cuisine. It's nice to know they are open late. Kindly call them for their open hours.

Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant has the best Spring Rolls in Windsor. Not stringy full of bean sprouts but full of veggies and/or meat. The Chicken chop suey, Lemon chicken, Beef with broccoli, Honey garlic spare ribs, Black bean sauce dishes and more packed full of meat. The Shrimp dishes could have more shrimp but can order extra. Single dishes for One person always leaves you with leftovers for later. The Restaurant may look outdated from the outside but very clean and open til 3:00am. The staff is very friendly and pickup service prompt. This is the only Chinese food I eat in Windsor.

Having lived just a block or so from this place, I ordered a lot over the years. It's my #1 for West Windsor -- period. The family, the food, prices.. It's all top shelf. I end reviews with either run away or.. run towards. This is one of the places you run towards. You will not be shaking your head asking 'why did we go there'.

Great late night spot with impressive hours. We got a plate of fried/roasted green beans, a mountain of fried rice with shrimp and pork, and a mess of General Tso's chicken. Cheap and great tea, too! Will definitely be coming back.

Was craving for spicy authentic Asian food late on a Sunday (most Asian places are closed) this place was able to satisfy beyond expectations! Ordered from the Chinese Szechuan menu, which Cindy our waitress was kind enough to find a version that had an English translation. I would highly recommend ordering from the Chinese menu if you wanted a more authentic taste. They are not strictly Szechuan and have some Cantonese and other classic Chinese dishes, which looked great too. Will definitely visit again from looking at their foodgasm photo albums that can be provided when indecisive when ordering.

I've been to Rose Garden plenty of times with my family but again recently for my little brother's graduation. There were only two other tables full when we came in around 9PM. We ordered something similar to shrimp kong fu char in both noodles and rice, vegetables and beef, eggplant with minced pork, sweet and sour pork, and fried pig intestines (what westerns might call chitterlings). The shrimp kong fu char (noodles) were delicious! Google kong fu char if you don't know what it is. My little brother polished off the rice equivalent. You can't go wrong with vegetables and beef. The eggplant with minced pork wasn't spicy as I had hoped but they were still tasty. The sweet and sour pork had a nice batter to it, tasted good, but nothing to write home about. What I love the most about Rose Garden are their fried pig intestines. HEAVENLY! They're accompanied with sweet and sour sauce but they taste like a million bucks without it too. If you want to try something new, try it. If you don't know how to say it or describe it to the wait staff, take a picture/screenshot of my picture and show it OR you can point at it in the restaurant. Another great thing about Rose Garden is that they have some key menu items in pictures on the walls of their restaurant to help customers try new things (especially if you don't know how to say it in Cantonese or Mandarin). The fried pig intestines are in a faded picture but I'd suggest showing my photo as it's clearer.

When I was an ex-Windsorite, I went to this restaurant a lot and I have to say their food is so so good. I really liked the Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls and they also have really good rice. The people working there are extremely friendly which I enjoy going to as well. Also they offer more than the actual value for food plus they have a lot of food options on the menu. Its nice their open until 3 a.m. most days of the week with the exception of Friday and Saturday nights where there open until 4 a.m.
